October actually has two birthstones: opal and tourmaline. This time around, we’re focusing on the magnificent opal. The opal is a unique stone that can range in color from the clear orange of fire opal to the radiance of milky opal.

Opals are softer stones that can become brittle if not cared for properly. Strong chemical cleaners, soaking, and storing in hot, dry spaces is not recommended.

Due to their formation, no two opals are exactly alike, so each piece of jewelry created from an opal is truly a unique piece of wearable art!
